  • Criminal convictions and violations of law

  • Delinquent federal debt
  • Polygraph test
  • Employment issues
  • Drug use and activity
  • Background investigation

Equal Employment Opportunity (Optional)

This is the third and the last part of the CIA application package and is voluntary. You do not have to fill in this section.

How to Begin and Submit the Application Package

Before you begin to fill in this part, gather the following information:

  • Visit the CIAs official website and on the main page look up “Careers & Internships”. From there click on “Application Process” and then click on “Application Instructions”. Read this section carefully
  • Once you are ready, click on “Apply Now”
  • Create an account
  • Receive a user ID
  • Create a password for this account
  • Save your user ID and password
  • Add up to four (04) positions in your account
  • Fill the Application for Employment section (the information you need for this section is mentioned above)
  • Fill out the Personnel Evaluation Form (the information required for this section is discussed below)
  • Fill out the voluntary section of the application, if you want
  • You have three (03) days to complete your application

Now simply submit the entire application package. A message of confirmation will appear on your screen. You will get another message from the CIA within two business days regarding submission of your application, upon which you need to sign back into your account to confirm that your application package was successfully received. If it wasn’t, simply resubmit. At this stage, your online account will be automatically deleted.

Once You Have Submitted the Entire Application Package…

Wait for the CIA recruiters to contact you via email, phone or postal mail. This may take as many as 45 days. If you do not hear from them within this time, you can assume that your application was not accepted. However, you can apply again after waiting for one-year.
